Oklahoma Psychological Association Announces Fall Conference

Dear Colleagues,
The Oklahoma Psychological Association is pleased to announce our upcoming conference scheduled for November 4-5, 2011 at the OSU Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa.

The Program:
Our convention will have several features to include four excellent speakers addressing topics that will be of interest to all of us including DBT, the challenges of mental medications and a webinar regarding "digital ethics" with a follow-up discussion led by Dr. Julio Rojas on site.
Continuing Education:
CEU approval has been given for Psychologists, Social Workers and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors with an application pending for Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. A total of 12 Units and 3 Ethics Units are available.
Entertainment:
The talent show scheduled for Friday evening is open to all registrants and is designed to be as if we were sitting around someone's living room enjoying each other's company. The "grand prize" for the most courageous performer is a year membership to OPA as a full member, student or associate as appropriate.
Exhibit Booths:
There will be vendor booths of various sorts at the center which itself is quite beautiful and functional.
Registration:
You can register at the daily rate, though we hope you will elect to attend both days. Please sign up early to reserve your spot, you can fill out your registration online and then send it to the OPA office via e-mail, fax or snail mail. As we are going "paperless" to the best of our ability, please consider forwarding this e-mail to others whom you think might be interested in attending as networking is the main way we are promoting this opportunity.
